Lavender Labyrinth

Perched atop the olive orchard with one of the most beautiful views on the property sits a labyrinth built of 700 lavender plants. Modeled after a 14th century labyrinth from San Quentin, France, you can see our labyrinth on the World Wide Labyrinth Locator. Labyrinths were considered a symbol of wholeness by ancient civilizations and have long been used as a tool in prayer, meditation, and spirituality. The circular and spiral walkway pattern represents a metaphor of life’s journey, the journey to our own center and then back again out into the world. A short seven minute stroll to the center is recommended where one leaves unwanted baggage behind. From the center outward, one sets his/her intentions for the future.
